The route
We depart from the hotel. Head for Noirmoutier en l’île. In just a few minutes, you’ll be in the heart of downtown. The latter is rich in traditional houses with colorful shutters and hollyhocks. Stroll through its narrow streets and enjoy the shops of local artisans. It’s hard not to fall for a souvenir.
A little further on, discover its lively market where you can sample local produce, such as Noirmoutier’s famous potatoes, fresh oysters and seafood.
As you turn down a picturesque lane, you’ll catch a glimpse of the Château de Noirmoutier.
Guided tours are available for 8 euros.
At the very top, you’ll have an unobstructed view from the top of the dungeon.
Once your tour is over, it’s time to hit the road again.
From the port, walk along the seawall to Plage des Sableaux. Take off your shoes and walk with your feet in the sand. Continue along the ocean to Plage des Dames. This is the island’s best-known beach.
5 kilometers on foot, it digs, it digs…
It’s the perfect time to take a picnic break. The cool maritime pines of the Bois de la Chaize are the perfect place to relax. From the top of the hill, you’ll have a breathtaking view of the blue ocean.
Restaurants line Plage des Dames. The special feature of Plage des Dames is its small cabins.
Relax on a terrace and enjoy delicious local produce cooked with love.

On the island of Noirmoutier, the aim is for you to have a good time and leave your daily worries behind.
The meal over, it’s time to go.
Don’t miss the Estacade on Plage des Dames. This pontoon juts out into the sea, offering a breathtaking view of the beach and woods. It’s time to get out your camera and immortalize this postcard landscape.
Continue on your way to Anse Rouge beach, a magnificent little cove with turquoise waters.
Put down your towel and enjoy the peace and quiet.
After recharging your batteries, it’s time to head back to the hotel. Take a shower or relax in the hotel swimming pool .
